A depiction of a bright storm on an alien planet. This surreal landscape was done during a period of break between heavy 3D projects. I like its simplicity. I imagined a bright light, shock-wave like, storm so powerful that it literally cuts anything it comes across. The storm moves quickly just above the ground and makes a loud noise as if it was supersonic... Back in 1999 this image was on the cover of a Polish edition of the Nexus Magazine. |

If you look at it from another perspetive, it looks like the claw of some giant creature is about scrape the surface of the land.
The haze communicates a sense of movement, almost as though something is emanating from the spires in the background. The tilted perspective helps that way too. Very cool. |
