Pentacolor - online puzzle game
2 January 2010
Greetings and best wishes for 2010! As many of you know I have been working in the computer games industry since the mid 1990s and have been playing games since mid 1980s (starting with the Commodore 64). My favorite games are from the Amiga 500 era of late 1980s to early 1990s. Games back then were generally simpler and in my opinion more enjoyable. So with all this gaming experience I thought it would only be natural to make a game that is simple and fun to play. I actually had plans for doing this since 2006 but first now was able to materialize it. Better late than never :)
Pentacolor is an online puzzle game that requires Java 1.5 or higher to run. If the game does not start you'll have to enable Java in your browser and restart the browser. If the version of Java on your computer is older than 1.5 you will need to download and install the latest version of Java to play the game. I created this game with a friend and the music was composed by Bjorn Lynne.
The game rules are very simple: combine as many equally colored squares as possible and clear them away. The more squares you combine together the more points you earn. Use your mouse to click on a collection of the same color squares to make them disappear. The faster you get the job done the higher your score. Have fun!
