Most of these base textures are organic (walls, terrain, ground) but there are some other types too. They can be used as they are or be incorporated into your own texture work. All 68 textures can be freely used for any creative purpose except for distribution. That is you can use these textures in commercial and non-commercial creative products like games, artwork, etc, but you can not distribute these textures in any way. Some of these textures tile some don't. They are all stored in PNG format and most are 512x512: the 68 free textures.
