Online ambient radio stations

A few months ago I found some good online ambient radio stations. They all play a variety of ambient styles so there is something for everybody. If you are new to ambient try tuning-in during different times of the day. I typically switch between the stations until I find something I like. To listen, use any player that can play audio streams, like winamp. Each site contains instructions on how to get started, which usually involves saving the radio's playlist file to your computer and then opening it with your player.
- Digitally imported - here you can choose from a variety of music streams. I listen to the "Ambient" and "Chill out".
- radioio Ambient - unique musical mixes of chilled back, exotic electronica.
- Ambient.us - euphoric mix of Ambient/Space/Chill/Dub/Groove.
- Mystic soundscapes - a variety of new age, world, celtic and ambient music.
I often listen to ambient music while working, or when doing nothing - just listening. I also listen to certain ambient music when doing certain things. When I read about mysticism or paranormal matters I like to listen to Jean Michel Jarre's "Waiting for Cousteau" - a 45 minutes long journey into ambience of enigmatic sound worlds. I only play that late at night prior bed time as that helps induce a metaphysical atmosphere and enhances the reading experience. Happy listening!
