Watching the beautiful space imagery in the Mars mission documentaries on the Discovery Channel inspired me to do a new space piece myself. I don't know the actual location or the stars or name of the planets, but it feels like a Milky Way system... so it can't be too far away :)
Makes me think of a world with deep chasms filled with a atmosphere capable of sustaining life, but the life is confined to these atmosphere pockets. If I was was a sci-fi writer your pictures would provide a great seed, but even though I'm not it still gets my imagination moving.
Obviously I love the fog in the canyons, I also like the light/gas/blur coming out of the ringed planet at 10 o'clock, it adds inconsistency and hence realism.
I think that this image, including the other images are magnificent, this is great work. This is my favorite painting type, and you have done a god job pleasing my eyes, thank's. Devin Crenshaw
This is, without a doubt, the sweetest space image I have ever seen in my life. Every time I see it… the more I want to get out THERE… the harder I work towards becoming an astronaut. Thank you for the inspiration to reach for my dream.
