Title: Planet scape

Watching the beautiful space imagery in the Mars mission documentaries on the Discovery Channel inspired me to do a new space art piece myself. I don't know the actual location or the stars or name of the planets, but it feels like a Milky Way system... so it can't be too far away :)

Hi Rhys,

My favorite Amiga 500 demos are from the 1990-93 period. Here are some of them (in the order as I come to think of them):

"Elysium" by Sanity (Jester's music is still unbelievable!!)
"Desert dream" by Kefrens (awesome timing of music and effects)
"Day of reckoning" by Digital (especially cool music)
"Interference" by Sanity (superb music)
"Substance" by Quartex (so old school)
"Seeing is believing" by Anarchy (very atmospheric)
"World of Commodore" by Sanity (must have seen this one a 100 times)

As for how I make my images... the key thing is lots of passion and practice :)

Makes me think of a world with deep chasms filled with a atmosphere capable of sustaining life, but the life is confined to these atmosphere pockets. If I was was a sci-fi writer your pictures would provide a great seed, but even though I'm not it still gets my imagination moving.

Obviously I love the fog in the canyons, I also like the light/gas/blur coming out of the ringed planet at 10 o'clock, it adds inconsistency and hence realism.

This is, without a doubt, the sweetest space image I have ever seen in my life. Every time I see it… the more I want to get out THERE… the harder I work towards becoming an astronaut. Thank you for the inspiration to reach for my dream.
