Abstract gallery
Abstract expressionism is a nonrepresentational school of painting that originated in the U.S. in the 1940s. It embraces many individual styles with emphasis on freedom of technique and spontaneous expression of the unconscious. Abstract expressionism was especially popular until the early 1960s. Personally, I find such imagery stimulating and inspirational. I especially tend to like the more colorful pieces that have a free flow to them.
